She started her piano teaching career at the Yamaha Music for Children in Taiwan. After she arrived in the United States, she continued her piano study with Dr. William Smith at the University of Illinois and with Dr. Gallert Modos at the Illinois State University. She received her bachelor’s degree in piano performance at the Illinois State University. At both Illinois State University and University of Memphis, she received the Suzuki Piano Training.

When she relocated to Mobile, Mrs. Hsu studied with Dr. Jerry Bush at the University of South Alabama for many years and continues to give piano lessons at home. Mrs. Hsu is currently a member of the Mobile Piano Ensemble where she has performed a concerto and a duo.
