On September 26, 2001, Mobile Mayor Mike Dow proclaimed September 29, 2001 as "Mobile Piano Ensemble Day". The Mayor met Ensemble President Carol Evers and Chairman of the Board Ann Faulkner at Broussard's for the presentation ceremony. Other officers and concert members were present along with members of the media.
